Cloncagh Old Cemetery
Cloncagh parish (sometimes pronounced Clouncagh) is in the old Barony of Connello in County Limerick. The graveyard includes the ruins of the old Parish Church which was reputed to have been built on the site of an Abbey founded by St Madoc in the sixth century. The name Clouncagh derives from the Irish: Cluain Cath, which apparently refers to ‘the meadow of the battle’
