Description
Irish Carved Limestone Street Nameplate
- Monumental grade limestone with inscription
- Centuries old tradition of stonecutting
- In the tradition of Irish memorial masons and sculptors
For centuries in Ireland, limestone has been used for making headstones, mile marker stones, plaques, name plates and monuments. Irish limestone has a blue grey look in matte stone and can be found all over Ireland. As Irish limestone is relatively soft and fine grained, it lends itself well to carving, lettering, sculpting and stone cutting.
